Library Media Center Information

     The library media center serves faculty, staff and students in grades 1-5 .  Parents are welcome
 to browse and check out both print and non-print materials from the 18,500 plus cataloged items.
 The electronic catalog may be searched from eight networked computers in the LMC as well from all
connected classrooms.  Several serchable databases are available
 icon located on the homepage.   For all database passwords, call the library at 597-2590. 


Hours
Monday - Friday   7:30 a.m.  -  4:30 p.m.

Circulation
Classes are scheduled weekly for 35-40 minutes for book exchange and activities.
All students and teachers may visit the LMC on a flexible  schedule at any time.
Students may check out up to three items at a time for up to ten days but may have more as needed.
  There are no fines but checkouts are frozen while a student has overdue or lost materials.
   A lost deposit of $5.00 per item is required to check out more materials.   When a lost
  item is returned the deposit is refunded.  Parents also have check out privileges.

Family Reading Night
From September through March the library is open on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
 Students and family members may come to read together and students may take AR quizes..
  This is a come and go affair and a great way to spend quality time with your child.
  A guest reader at 7:30 is followed by refreshments
and the drawing for the door prize (a free book).
