Hey Exporters! Our 50th-year reunion is coming soon!
Friday, October 15, 6:00 PM - Get together for dinner, Dutch treat, in the back room at On The River Restaurant, 910 W. 2nd, Freeport. Nothing special planned, just an opportunity to meet and eat for locals and those in from out-of-town.
Saturday, October 16, 3:00 PM - Meet at front entrance of high school for a tour of BHS. At 4:00 we go to River Place, located across the old river from the back of the school. (Turn at the Mystery Shrimp Boat on Hwy 288.) The class picture will be taken at 5:30, followed by dinner at 6:00. Tea and soft drinks will be provided but if you want something else–BYOB.
The photographer has agreed to stick around for a while for any special pictures we’d like to have made–like couples, old friends, junior high groups, etc. The program will begin after we eat and will hopefully include some entertainment by surprise guests.
Our 50-year reunion is a good time to make a tax-deductible contribution to our BHS Class of 1960 Scholarship Fund at Brazosport College in memory or in honor of a classmate, in celebration of our 50th Reunion, or any other reason you might like. Make checks payable to Brazosport College Foundation with memo "Class of 1960" and reason for the gift and send to Brazosport College Foundation, 500 College Drive, Lake Jackson TX 77566. A letter of recognition will be sent from the college.
If you know of someone who went to school with us who did not receive a reunion invitation (doesn’t matter if they graduated in May 1960 or not), please let them know they are invited. Just call or e-mail so we can send them a letter. ALL are welcome! Hope to see you October 15 and 16.
