FRANK'S WOOD SHOP PAGE
Welcome to FRANK'S WOOD SHOP page. Here you will find examples of
some of the one of a kind, hand crafted items I make. My items are
made from old and new cedar, black walnut, oak, apricot, peach,
and mesquite, as well as recycled fence wood.
Here you will find hand turned lamps, wooden lamp shades, ornamental
bird houses, and weedpots. I also make wooden stars from recycled
fence wood, as well as new cedar. Some are plain, and some are a
little more fancy.
Wooden shades add a nice soft light to your room, perfect
for watching televesion, or for reading in your easy chair while
not disturbing others.
All of my wood items are sealed with a polyurethane varnish
to protect the wood.
The pictures on this page will change from time to time, as I get
time to work on the page. As you can tell it is still in the
construction phase. I am not a web page designer, but rather a wood
worker. Please come back to check on new items.

L1...This lamp features a post turned from spalted apricot. The black
rings are made from charcoal, and the white rings are made from
baking soda. The base is made from cross grain turned mesquite

L2...The above lamp is made from red cedar, and features a turned
captive ring on the post. The base is made from black walnut and oak.
The shade is made from recycled fence.
L3
L3...The above lamp is made from a piece of old cedar post, and is
mounted on a fence wood base that has been planned to reveal all the
cracks in the wood, while showing a newer wood look. It will fit
right in with your decor design for ranch style or rustic room.
The wooden shade is made from old fence wood, and planned to show
the natural beauty of the weathered grain.

L4...The above lamp is turned from an old cedar post, and mounted
on a simple cedar base. The wooden shade is made from planned
old fence wood to reveal the natural beauty. This lamp will make
a wonderful addition for your antique, rustice, or western
decorated room or office.

L5...This lamp is made from mesquite. The post is turned with the grain
of the wood, and the base is turned cross grain. The shade is made from
recycled fence wood.

S1...This star is made from new cedar, and is approximately 29
inches across from point to point.
S2
S2...This star is made from recycled fence wood. Half of each
point has been stained for added contrast, and is approximately 29
inches across from point to point.

S3...This star is made from recycled fence wood. It is
approximately 29 inches across from point to point.

BH1-BH2...The bodies of these ornaments are made of oak and black walnut.
The tops are turned from wild plum native to the central Texas
region. The overall height of the ornaments is 5 1/2 inches.
BH3
BH3... The body of this ornament is made of oak and black walnut.
The top is turned from cedar native to the central Texas region.
The overall height of the ornament is 6 inches.
WEEDPOTS
WP GROUP
WP GROUP...This is a picture of some of the weedpots I have turned.
The ones shown here are made of mesquite, wild plum, peach, and apricot.
While the name may sound funny, weedpots make a nice accessory item.
OIL LAMPS
OL1
OL1...This is an oil lamp that has a base turned from natural Texas
cedar. The lamp comes complete with the base, the oil canister and
wick, and the chimney.
TABLE
TBL
TBL1...This is a table that is made from recycled fence wood. The
top has oak, dough board edges. The inlayed star is made of oak, and
the drawer pulls are turned from mesquite.
