The
recent rain has certainly been a blessing. A good slow to moderate rain, spread
out over a wide area and a couple of mornings can sure do a lot to green things
up!
The Jr High Baptist Church Puppet Team left early Saturday morning
to go to San Antonio to learn about puppets and puppetry. Mark Myers and a couple
of other highly skilled puppeteers taught the group the basics and advanced skills
of puppetry. The group were also taught about 'speed stacking' and had the opportunity
to purchase puppets and speed stacking equipment and apparatus. The kiddos came
back with new skills and a lot of motivation. We will be looking forward to their
upcoming performances! Perhaps they can give us a preview at the VFD fundraiser?
I heard from my Dad, Kennie Wilcox, this past week and he tells me that he
made a hole in one on the golf course at the Georgetown Country Club. He's 89
years old not that anyone at the Country Club can tell. Way to go Dad!
Becky,
Ashley and Jeff(Jr) Cockrum went to the EMS Fish Fry Building fundraiser on Sunday.
The fish and all the trimmings was great as was the turnout! We stayed and helped
with the cleanup and enjoyed visiting with everyone.

The Baptist Church had a fish fry last Thursday night in the beautiful
yard of Don and Candace Hendersons.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy McCown and Tommy. Judy is teaching school in Brownwood. Judy,
we are all so proud of you.

few days with Roddy and Barbara Maddox.
