Ann Walton's Introduction!
In 1962, I was in Kerrville, Texas, picking up a Beagle puppy for my four daughters. The puppy was raised by Mr. Snow who had Beagles
to hunt bobcats for the sheep and goat ranchers. One female was too small to go with the pack but she was the size that I wanted.
One night, I was invited out with the bobcat hunters. We sat around a campfire and listening, waiting for the beagles to hit a trail.
Their voices were muted among the thick cedar. When they entered the clearings, called Cedar Breaks, their voices were crisp and clear as church bells.
It was a sound so thrilling, I remember it to this day!
